INDOOR AIR QUALITY ASSESSMENT
INDOOR AIR QUALITY ASSESSMENT
What we do
ESI provide Indoor Air Quality Assessment assessing general management and quality of the indoor air. Inspection and assessment of general air quality to evaluate comfort levels including temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide levels and carbon monoxide readings is routinely completed.
Why it’s needed
The CIBSE Guide, the HSC Workplace Regulations and HSE Guidance Note EH22 all recommend that only outside air of an acceptable standard be brought into a building. They also specify the minimum acceptable volumes in litres per second per person of that air which should be delivered to the breathing zones in the building, at all times of building occupancy. The use of temperature alone as the indicator for variations in system operation is now frequently regarded as inadequate, systems should ideally respond to indoor air quality requirements as well and these are included in the ESI assessments.
